Morphix
The Warping Trickster
Morphix is a boss in Bridge Crossings that warps frequently to switch between melee and ranged attack phases. Players should dodge at range and aim for Parry Attacks during melee phases after warps.
Attack Patterns
Morphix is defined by its warp ability, which it uses to constantly reposition and switch between attack styles. The fight requires adaptability as the boss alternates between close-range and long-range combat.
Melee Phase (Post-Warp)
After warping to close range, Morphix executes melee combo attacks. These combos are parryable — the moments immediately after a warp are the best opportunities for Parry Attacks, as the boss commits to a predictable melee string upon arrival.
Ranged Phase
At distance, Morphix fires disc-shaped projectiles that track the player. These discs are best avoided by dodging laterally rather than trying to parry them. The ranged phase is generally safer but offers fewer damage opportunities.
Warp Patterns
Morphix warps frequently and somewhat unpredictably. However, it always commits to either a melee or ranged attack immediately after warping. Learning to read which attack follows each warp is the key skill for this fight.
Strategy
| Priority | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Aim for Parry Attacks immediately after close-range warps |
| 2 | Dodge laterally to avoid disc projectiles at range |
| 3 | Punish post-parry knockdown states with burst damage |
| 4 | Stay patient — don’t chase the boss after warps |
