Overview
Lacrimosa is a new S-Rank Chaos Liquid character arriving in NTE Version 1.1 (June 3, 2026). She is a DPS character with a unique dual-stance combat system and the Nightmare debuff mechanic. Her kit revolves around switching between Tomato Metal (mobility-focused) and Tomato Percussion (AoE-focused) stances, while stacking Nightmare on enemies for additional damage.
Her most distinctive feature is the Redirect Skill (Flavor Variation), which allows her to permanently copy enemy combat techniques by targeting them in Aim mode. This gives her unparalleled versatility as she can adapt her toolkit based on the enemies she encounters.
Key Mechanics
Dual-Stance System
Lacrimosa alternates between two attack modules:
| Stance | Trigger | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Tomato Metal | Use Morning Tomato from Percussion | Flying kick forward, single-target focused |

The current stance determines both Basic Attack patterns and how the 5th hit of her combo functions after casting Devilish Gift (Ultimate).

- Awakening 3 triggers all accumulated Nightmare at once on the 5th hit
- Awakening 4 extends Nightmare duration to 6s
- Awakening 5 prevents Nightmare removal on heal and reduces target Max HP
Redirect Skill (Flavor Variation)
This is Lacrimosa’s most unique mechanic:
- Hold Aim to enter targeting mode
- Successfully targeting an enemy learns their combat technique permanently
- The learned technique replaces Morning Tomato
- Techniques are stored in memory and can be swapped on the Skill page
- 46 different enemy techniques can be copied
